Services

We provide manageable solutions to complex projects using proven processes.

Design Build

Your project moves from ideas and dreams, through design concepts, rendered images, construction, and clean up, with the same team carrying it the whole way. We start by listening to your ideas, wants, needs, and budget, so you are certain the project is achievable.

We produce construction drawings, so everyone involved thoroughly understands the plan.

A kitchen shown three ways: the room before, the three dimensional rendering, and the finished remodel.

3D Renderings

Taking initial measurements and using 360-degree photography, we build a digital map of your existing structure, then produce three dimensional renderings of the design possibilities.

Our 3-D models include colors, floors, counters, textures, and products. Once the renderings are approved, they are used to directly create working construction plans.

Whole House Renovations

We have worked with homeowners on every part of a house, from improving the flow of space, to making space more luxurious, fun, or practical, to modifying whole homes for aging in place.

We have redesigned existing rooms for functionality, added new wings for entertaining, and added new levels for growing families.

Custom Additions

Owner bedroom suites, multi-generational suites, attic or second-floor additions, porches or multi-level decks, detached garages, sunrooms, pool houses, outdoor kitchens, finished basements, and even a ballroom.

Redesigned rooflines, modified entrances, added levels and expanded footprints are all part of the work. Each project is built to blend in as if it is part of the original home.

Lifestyle Upgrades

A new baby on the way, a teenager who wants somewhere to hang out, a mother-in-law who should not live alone anymore, or empty nesters ready to add some luxury. Suite additions, new living and entertainment spaces, and accessible modifications all start the same way, with a conversation about how you actually live.

We are Certified Graduate Remodelers and Certified Aging-in-place Specialists.

How an Oak Alley remodel goes

Every home is a distinctive project needing its own solution. The way we get there is the same every time, so you always know what has happened and what is next.

  1. We walk the property with you

An initial meeting where we review the property and listen to your ideas. We brainstorm and offer ideas of our own to help you understand what is possible, practical, and permissible.

  2. We measure and draw

With a design agreement in place, we measure the structure, recreate it in our design software, develop potential layouts, and create renderings to show you.

  3. We settle the layout together

We present the renderings and decide on a layout. If we need to go back to the drawing board to tweak a few things, we don’t charge extra. We only want to build a project you are happy to have built.

  4. Trade partners walk it, then we price it

We meet our trade partners on site and walk the property discussing each aspect of the project from each trade’s point of view. When their pricing comes in, we give you a firm, fixed price in the final contract.

  5. Permits, then a pre-construction conference

Once the contract is signed, permits are applied for and we meet again. The Oak Alley Operations Manager outlines project management details, sets the weekly client meeting time, and answers any remaining questions.

  6. A written report, every week

Each week you meet with the Operations Manager and receive a written report of the previous week’s activities and conversations. The project is reviewed and any new questions are recorded.

Hear from our clients

I can’t praise Oak Alley enough! We had a good feeling about Mike from our very first meeting and were more and more impressed as the process continued. He is professional, knowledgeable, patient and talented. He and his team listened and made excellent suggestions that we’d never even considered. The end result is better than anything we’d hoped for, or even imagined! Having worked with other design and construction companies in Birmingham, I can without a doubt say that Oak Alley is the absolute BEST!
